How to make Stir Fry
Ingredients
- stir fry mix
- egg noodles
- soy sauce
- chicken
- prawns
- mixed peppers
- garlic
- red onions
- thyme
- garlic powder
- ginger
- Chinese five spice
- cayenne pepper
- Brocolli (Optional)
- Mushrooms (Optional)
Method
- Season the chicken slices with ginger powder, garlic powder, thyme, cayenne pepper and Chinese five spice.
- Then leave the chicken in the fridge to marinate for up to 1 hour.
- Boil the egg noodles in a pot, and whilst this is boiling it is time to prepare the prawns.
- Put a tablespoon of butter in a pan and let it melt.
- Then add chopped up garlic to the pan and let it sweat, be sure not to let it burn If the heat is too high turn it low.
- Add the prawns and let each side cook for 2 minutes, then season it with garlic, ginger, cayenne pepper, and Chinese five spice.
- Let the prawns cook until they are pink or until they are done.
- Pour the prawns into a bowl and set aside.
- using the same pan, pour in the oil and add the chopped up garlic and sliced red onion. Let it sweat.
- Make sure that you are checking on the noodles so that they do not over boil, you don’t want them to be too soft!
- Once the garlic and the red onions have sweated add in the chicken and turn the heat up.
- The egg noodles should be done after 20-30 minutes drain them and set it aside.
- Let the chicken fry on each side for 10 minutes each.
- Once the chicken is done it is time to start making the stir fry.
- In a wok put a little bit of oil, then add the mixed peppers, mushrooms and broccoli.
- Season it with a bit of salt and Maggi.
- After 10 minutes add in the stir fry mix and let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Add in the prawns and chicken, shortly after adding the noodles.
- Add soy sauce to give the stir fry color.
- After 5 minutes your stir fry is done!
