Homemade Spicy Mayonnaise 

How to make Spicy Mayonnaise 

This recipe is perfect if you just want to be extra and make your own condiment (Keto friendly)!

I was surprised when I was making this as it is simpler than I imagined. 

Ingredients

  • 2 large egg yolks
  • Olive oil or Sunflower oil
  • Lemon juice 
  • Salt 
  • Chili powder 

Method 

1. Whisk the egg yolks in a bowl. 

2.Whilst whisking the egg yolks add the oil gradually (add drops)

3.The mixture should have thickened after 3-5 minutes if not continue whisking! 

4.After this add the lemon juice, I recommend only using half a lemon. 

5.Season the mayo with chili powder and salt, taste it to see how much you should add.

6.This can last in the fridge for up to a week!

Chinese style sticky ribs 

Chinese style sticky ribs 

These ribs are great for sharing , to accompany a dish  (I paired it with stir fry) or simply to have by itself! 

Ingredients 

  • Hoisin sauce 
  • Soy sauce 
  • Honey 
  • Chinese 5 spice 
  • Garlic powder 
  • Ginger 
  • All purpose seasoning 
  • Chili powder 
  • Pork ribs


Method 

1. Firstly, the ribs have to be seasoned, I used garlic powder, ginger, all purpose seasoning,chili powder and Chinese 5 spice (this was the min ingredient for the ribs).

2. Then add a little bit of hoisin sauce, soy sauce and honey. 

3. Massage the mix in until all ribs are evenly coated.

4. I always recommend leaving anything to marinate for at least 1 day, so that the flavor will infuse with the meat. If this is not possible 1-2 hours will suffice.

5. When the marinating is done, set the oven to 180oc .

6. Place the ribs on a lined dish.

7. Whilst the ribs are cooking, in a bowl mix 

honey, hoisin sauce and soy sauce. 

8. Every 10-20 minutes check the ribs and

coat them with the glazed used a glazing 

brush. 

9. After 1 hour the ribs should be done.

Ingredients 

.Ready rolled puff pastry 

.Peaches 

.Honey

.Caster sugar 

.Vanilla bean extract 

Method

1. Heat oven to 180c.

2. Roll the puff pastry on to an oven tray that is lined with grease proof paper. 

3. Lightly sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on the pastry

4. Place the pastry into the oven for approximately 20 minutes. 

5. Make sure that the pastry does not raise, if this occurs use a spatula to flatten it.

6. Spoon honey and peaches onto the dough, drizzle with honey.

7. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

8. Allow to cool slightly and serve with ice cream

Broccoli Tempura

How to make Broccoli Tempura 

 

Ingredients 

.Broccoli 

.Flour 

.Water

.Oil 

.Seasoning (garlic, all-purpose seasoning, salt)

.Tempura/Soy sauce


Method 

1.Blanch the broccoli in a pan of simmering water, then set aside to cool. 

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together water and flour and seasoning of your choice. 

3. Dip the broccoli florets into the batter, making sure to coat all sides, then put them into the deep fryer (2-3 minutes)

4. Remove the cooked tempura from the oil and allow it to drain briefly on kitchen paper.

5. Serve while still hot! Enjoy the broccoli tempura

Fluffy Pancakes

How to make fluffy Pancakes 

Ingredients .Flour .Egg .Sugar .Butter .Vanilla Essence .Milk .Pinch of salt .Baking soda 


Method 1. In a mixing bowl put flour, sugar, a teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt, mix the contents and set aside. 2. Put the butter in a cup and warm it in a microwave for 30 seconds, then add it to the mix alongside milk and a drop of vanilla essence. 3.Whisk the mix together until it is smooth and no lumps are to be found. 4.In a pan add butter whilst the butter melting get a ladle to pour the pancake mix into the pan.5. Use the ladle to make the pancake a perfect circle, then flip the pancake after 3-5 minutes. 6. Repeat step 5 until all the batter is finished. 7. Now that your fluffy pancakes are done they will go well with some honey and fruit!
